Fora Financial
Fast funding for businesses with weaker credit—but the cost and payment schedule can be brutal.
Advertiser disclosure: FundingRank may be compensated when you visit or apply with some of the providers on this site. Compensation never affects our product facts, editorial conclusions or provider coverage. How we make money
Fora can be useful when your credit is weaker, your business is established enough to qualify and you need money quickly. The tradeoff is expensive short-term financing with daily or weekly payments, so this is the kind of offer you should run through the APR calculator before signing anything.

How FundingRank Evaluates Fora Financial
FundingRank does not assign one lender-wide star score across unlike financing products. We publish product-level requirements and costs, flag conflicting provider disclosures, and keep application privacy separate.
The company underwrites its own financing, but its published terms allow some applications, declines or products to be routed to outside financing providers that may contact you separately.
What we found: Fora states that loans and revenue advances may be issued by Fora Financial, Celtic Bank, or a network of unaffiliated third-party funding providers, with the provider identified before signing. FundingRank has not established one universal application-data path across every Fora program, so check the sharing terms in the agreement you are offered.
Why there is no lender-wide star rating
A term loan, line of credit, SBA product and revenue-based financing structure are not interchangeable. A single blended score can reward easier qualification or penalize missing disclosures in ways that look like a judgment about financing quality. FundingRank compares the underlying product facts instead.

Financing Products
Fora's FAQ describes an origination fee starting at 2.5% and a wire fee, with no application fee. Confirm net cash received, the full repayment obligation and the final fee schedule.
Before You Apply
Fora Financial currently publishes a consistent 570+ FICO minimum and six months in business, but its first-party pages conflict on revenue. Current product and requirements pages say $240,000+ annual revenue; the current FAQ says $17,000 per month in gross sales. FundingRank therefore does not publish one structured revenue minimum.
Typical Requirements
What You May Need
- Basic online application
- Three months of recent business bank statements
- Additional month-to-date statement, tax returns, profit-and-loss statement or balance sheet if requested
- Identity, ownership and banking verification required to close the transaction
How the Application Works
- Complete Fora's basic online application.
- Provide at least three months of recent business bank statements for the initial review.
- A Capital Specialist reviews the business profile and may request additional financial documentation if needed.
- Fora performs an initial soft credit review; a hard inquiry may occur at a later stage with notice.
- Review the actual factor rate, total repayment, payment frequency, term, origination/wire fees and early-payback terms before acceptance.
- After acceptance and final closing requirements, funding can arrive within one business day.
Fees, Credit Checks and Early Payoff
The three places a business funding offer usually costs more than the headline number suggests.
Fees
Fora's FAQ describes an origination fee starting at 2.5% and a wire fee, with no application fee. Confirm net cash received, the full repayment obligation and the final fee schedule.
Credit check
Fora says the initial application uses a soft credit check that does not affect the score. A hard inquiry may occur later, and Fora says the Capital Specialist will notify the applicant before it is initiated.
Paying it off early
Fora says there is no prepayment penalty and some offers may include an early-payoff discount. The amount you actually save depends on the agreement.
What Happens After You Apply
Review who receives the application, how follow-up works, and the expected funding timeline.
Where Your Application Goes
You apply directly through Fora and work with a Capital Specialist rather than sending one form to a large lender marketplace. You should still read the live consent language before submitting.
Servicing, Availability and What Borrowers Report
What the relationship looks like once the money lands, and where the lender is actually able to operate.
Building business credit
FundingRank has not established a current universal business-credit reporting policy for Fora's core funding product and does not infer one.
Where it operates
Fora serves U.S.-based businesses across many industries. Published minimums require a U.S. business checking account, and certain business or financing conditions can require additional review or make the business ineligible.
Customer support
Applicants work with a Capital Specialist during the review and funding process.
What borrowers report
Borrowers often praise speed and accessibility. The main concern is cost: a low credit minimum can still lead to very expensive financing.
